Who is Chris Dobson?

Chris is the Ecumenical and Global Partnership Officer for the Diocese of Bristol.

He is also a very keen photographer and has provided some of the photos for me when I have forgotten to take a selfie.

He grew up in Uganda and has lived in Zimbabwe.

This is what it says about Chris on the Christ Church Downend website,

http://christchurchdownend.com/the-team/

“Chris is married to Anita, and they have two children, Susie and Jonathan.

He grew up in Uganda, where his father, John, taught New Testament Greek at Bishop Tucker Theological College. At the age of 10 he returned to the UK and went to school in Norwich. He studied English at Aberystwyth University, worked for a year in a youth centre in Liverpool, then trained at Wycliffe Hall.

Chris has worked in parishes in Rochester Diocese and Harare, Zimbabwe. For the last 8 years he was Bishop’s Adviser for Links in Rochester Diocese and vicar of St Andrew’s church, Paddock Wood, Kent.

He is currently Ecumenical and Global Partnership Officer for Bristol Diocese.

Likes: Walking in the hills, African birds and climbing.”
